I haven't had a lot of time to keep this blog as up to date as I would like so below are a selection of images from various murals and live events that I have worked on over the past few months!
Myself and the rest of the Lost Souls - SPZero76, Squirl and SiMitchell were asked to be involved with the 'Urban' event at the the Southbank Centre. We were given a huge wall underneath the famous black and white Phlegm and Roa pieces.
We chose to paint a 'takeaway' themed piece and as I'm on a bit of a health kick, I went with an all protein dinner for my piece. A good day painting with some of the best street/graffiti artists around - Dan Kitchener, Zadok, Spore, Pref, Ben Murphyand 3Dom to name a few.
The second day of Monorex celebrations involved an exhibition showcasing work by artists that have worked with Monorex over the years.
Some of the best artists working today were on show here including work by Jon Burgerman, Philth, Conzo, Pete Fowler, Hicks, Mr Gauky, Riff, Alfa, Ronzo and many others.
My piece in the show 'Purple Reign' celebrated 9 years of Monorex with my own twist.
Check out the official photos from the event HERE.
This year Monorex celebrated it's 9th birthday with a celebration spanning 3 days of events.
Known as a global creative network/design agency specialising in bespoke projects working with upcoming and well known artists from various backgrounds, Monorex kicked the launch off with a Secret Walls live art battle held at the Arches in Hoxton.
Myself and 2 other artists (Obit & Michael Driver) were chosen to represent London in a 3 on 3 battle against the Czech Republic team and it went off in style. Massive congrats the the Czech guys who took the win on the night, it was a ton of fun.
All the official shots from the night can be found HERE.
A friend of mine asked me to create a one off piece as a birthday present for his brother celebrating his recent travels and adventures snowboarding in New Zealand. His nickname has been Smiley for a long time so the inclusion of smiley faces were obvious.
Being a New Zealander myself I took a lot of pride in this one and wanted to put some time in with the details adding little nods here and there. Both him and his brother were really happy with the final result.
This year I was invited with over 20 other artists to paint at Streetfest in Shoreditch. It was a great day of painting with friends in the sun and meeting lots of other like minded people.
Events involving beatboxing, street dance, bmx, skateboarding, live art and music went on throughout the day while we painted along the main stretch. The live graffiti this year was organised by Global Street Art with many recognisable names painting.
My piece was an homage to the Avengers complete with decapitated cartoon heads and my fictional character self, Captain Kris.
There are also a few videos floating around which I've included. In one of them I've been interviewed and you are able to see what I look like after going to a Stag do in Brighton and then painting a mural for the whole next day.
Pinched some of these shots from the London Vandal, go check out their post HERE.
